2. General information on data processing
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide this website, ensure its security and technical functionality, or respond to enquiries. Unless stated otherwise below, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, reliable and technically sound provision of our website.
3. Website delivery and Cloudflare
We use services provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, to deliver, secure and accelerate this website. These services include DNS, proxy, security and hosting functions as well as Cloudflare Workers. When you access our website, the connection is routed through Cloudflare's infrastructure. Technically necessary connection and metadata may be processed, in particular the IP address, time and destination of the request and information about the browser and operating system used.
This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and high-performance provision of the website and protection against abusive access.
Cloudflare processes data through a global network. Where personal data is transferred to third countries, in particular the United States, Cloudflare states that such transfers are based, among other mechanisms, on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Measurement (RUM) to assess the use and technical performance of our website. In particular, page views, referrer information and technical performance metrics such as loading times and Core Web Vitals are collected.
According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies, Local Storage or fingerprinting to recognise individual visitors for this measurement. The RUM service technically receives the source IP address as part of the HTTP connection; Cloudflare states that it discards the address at the nearest Cloudflare data centre and does not store it in its core RUM databases or logs.
We use this service on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to assess and improve the technical quality, stability and use of our website.
5. Contact by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication relates to steps prior to entering into a contract or the performance of a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
6. Retention period
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply. Once the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligation remains, the data is deleted.
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the right of access under Art. 15 GDPR, rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR, data portability under Art. 20 GDPR and the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

8. Right to lodge a complaint
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data.
